MARGAO: Holding the management of Carnival Inspiration responsible for the disappearance of Cuncolim seaman Symron Almeida onboard the cruise liner, the local seamen association has demanded registration of a criminal case against the company.

Addressing the press on Saturday, Dixon Vaz, the spokesperson of Goa Seamen Association of India (GSAI), said “The company has tempered with the on board evidence of the disappearance of Symron. The company, its captain and HR manager are responsible for the missing person.”

“The management has declared Symron as missing and now it will take 8 and half years for that missing person to be termed as dead. Should the family wait for eight years to know about its loved one?” Dixon asked adding the GSAI was ready to give good maritime lawyers to the family.

and help them with the case in the maritime court.
