PONDA: Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude said he was inspired by US president Abraham Lincoln’s attitude which helped win the recently held Assembly polls.

He was speaking at a felicitation programme of school Students organised by K B Hegdewar High School

Gaude who emerged as the giant killer from Priol Constituency defeating MGP president Deepak Dhavalikar cited an example of Abraham Lincoln who lost four elections, said it was he who inspired me as I was lucky to win this time after contesting in four elections.

School Manager Subash Desai, Sudesh Kavlekar, Uday Tilve and Anand Vagurmekar were present. 

He said during past 14 years he struggled in life to various problems.

“I never dreamed that I will contest election because I came from farmer’s family but due to social work and people’s support I joined politics.”
