Goan seafarer found hanging on ship
MARGAO: A Goan seafarer Conceicao Silva, aged 27 years, was found hanging in his cabin on the ship. Conceicao is from Fatorda and is said to have committed suicide on board Costa Magica by hanging himself in the small cabin with the help of a bed sheet.

The ship was in the Caribbean port of Antigua and the local authorities have taken possession of the body. The NRI office has got in touch with the Indian High Commission in Barbados. The mortal remains of Conceicao will be flown back to Goa after the reports are received from the company.
The family, however, is not ready to believe it is a suicide. They said, "It's very shocking to see the way he committed suicide".
The Goa Seamen’s Association of India President Dixon Vaz said, "I met the family and they are in deep shock as he called a few days ago and never showed any sign of disturbance as he was about to come home on vacation soon”.
