Haryana native held for assault and robbery

ANJUNA: Anjuna Police arrested a Haryana native for assault and robbery committed near Hotel Kay’s river view, Arpora while his friend is on the run.

A tourist, Gagan Atrejaa, complained to the police that he and his friend Rohit Mohan were driving home on Friday at 4 am when two unknown occupants of a Hyundai i10 car (GA-03-W-9816) assaulted and robbed from them cash of Rs 20,350.

During investigation the accused, Pawan Singh was traced and arrested by the police. The accused is a resident of Saligao, but a native of Haryana. The robbed cash of Rs 20,000 and the car used in the crime have been recovered. Efforts are being made by Anjuna police to trace the second accused involved in the crime.

The accused has been booked under Section 394 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Meanwhile, Police have are on the lookout for Pawan Singh’s friend who is on the run.
