The IGP inspected the present amenities at the cited site and said that they planned to inaugurate the police station on April 1, which got delayed.

IGP Singh said: "The staff strength of the Goa Police is less. This has been communicated to the Government of Goa. There are some vacant positions that need to be filled in and the proposal has been sent to the Government and that has been approved," said IGP Singh

The Sarpanch of Navelim said, "The ground floor of the Panchayat Complex has been selected for the Police station of Navelim. Until they find a permanent place the police station will be operated from this place," said the Sarpanch of Navelim.
