VASCO: Mormugao municipality will be auctioning the condemned unused vehicles soon. 

The MMC has seven vehicles and one scooter that are presently parked at the chief officer’s new bungalow site. The vehicles have been occupying space for a long time and have become an eye sore to the public.

Chief Officer Agnelo A Fernandes has informed that all formalities of condemnation of all the eight vehicles have been completed by the administration.

“The Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) had sought some clarification regarding these vehicles and their condemnation. We have completed that procedure recently and will go in for auction,” Fernandes said. The chief officer said that as soon as the approval of DMA is received, the auction dates would be announced.

There are three compactors from the years 2001 & 2002, two cover dome trucks, one passenger car (swift) car of 2008, one open Bolero Jeep from the year 2003 and a scooter (Dio) which will be up for auction.
