VASCO: Mormugao police on Saturday registered an offence against an unknown person for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old girl at Headland-Sada.

Police disclosed that the complaint lodged by Central Human Rights Organisation states that on March 20 at around 3.15 pm, an unknown male person caught the girl’s hand at the Rose Circle ground at Headland-Sada. The victim immediately ran away from the site.

The police have registered an offence under Sections 354, 354 (d) read with 34 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children's Act. Mormugao PI Shailesh Narvekar is further investigating into the case.
