MARGAO: The lone NCP MLA in Goa Churchill Alemao has announced that his party would contest the Zilla Parishad elections on party lines, if conducted on party lines. 

Churchill made the announcement as he celebrated the birthday of his leader Sharad Pawar as he turned 79 on Thursday. 

Praising Pawar that he is the leader of the masses and the people are with him, he said that Pawar was a great leader of Congress.

 but when he was denied the opportunity to go ahead in the party he created NCP.

“If elections happen on party lines, we will have NCP candidates in ZP elections,” Churchill said. 

“I have got elected nearly 11 MLAs as people are with me. People are my happiness. I keep working for the people day and night,” Churchill said.
