PANJIM: As the by-poll campaign in the capital is in full swing, with six days left for voting, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is likely to release his manifesto on Thursday. The promises and assurances have, however, been kept under wraps until its release even as the Opposition candidates have listed down a series of failures of the BJP-government in the constituency.

“The by-election manifesto will be released tomorrow (Thursday),” said former Panjim MLA Siddharth Kunkalienkar, who along with BJP supporters has been campaigning for the CM.

Parrikar, accompanied by some ruling MLAs, has been holding corner meetings and going door-to-door. BJP Goa President and Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar told Herald that 70-80 percent of the campaign has been completed so far. “We expect to cover the entire constituency by Saturday,” he said.

Parrikar is also likely to visit Valpoi constituency to campaign for BJP candidate Vishwajit Rane. “The CM will be in Valpoi on Saturday and Sunday evenings to campaign for Rane,” said a source.

Parrikar held a meeting with Mahila self help groups on Wednesday evening after which he held meetings with the residents at Ribandar, Altinho and Tonca-Caranzalem.
