PANJIM: Crime Branch busted a high-end prostitution racket at Sangolda on Wednesday night, rescuing three victims and arresting three pimps involved in the illegal trade.

A Crime Branch officer said that based on reliable information a trap was laid and successfully rescued the three girls, two of who hail from Nepal and one from Mumbai. 

All three have been sent to the Protective Home at Merces.

Police arrested Swapnil Singh of Gujarat, Sunil Singh of Haryana who were working for pimp Kapil Sharma, who has also been arrested.

Sharma, alias Bunty, is allegedly the main kingpin of the trafficking network and was arrested earlier by Crime Branch and other police stations in Goa.

Police Inspector Rahul Parab is further investigating the case.
