MARGAO: The bodies of a couple were found hanging from a bent coconut tree at Colva on Wednesday morning. The couple is suspected of having committed suicide together. 

According to the Colva Police, they were informed of the incident at 7 am in the morning and a team went to the spot. The couple was hanging from a bent coconut tree behind the Kentucky Shack. The couple had used a dupatta as ligature material. Police could not identify the couple initially, but later in the evening the police informed that the couple was Beran Singh (25) and Harvinder Kaur (18), both from Punjab. 

The Colva Police have informed their Punjab counterparts about the incident and are awaiting response. 

The couple had come to Goa on of October 9 and was staying at Jimmys Cottages.
