+ The Congress Block Committee President at Shiroda  Amith Shirodkar who is also a brother of Shiroda MLA Subash Shirokar has supported the MLA Subash Shirodkars entry into BJP. He said for the sake of development work, providing employment to locals and restarting of mining Subash Shirodkar had joined the BJP. He said for the commencement of mining in Goa it was felt that the existence of BJP government in Goa was necessary and so Subash Shirodkar joined BJP to strengthen it is 

+ It is learnt from sources that Shiroda Contituency has four Panchayats including Shiroda, Panchawadi, Borim and Bethora and  Subash Shirodkar had defeated BJP Candidate and former MLA Mahadev Naik in 2017 Assembly Election. Subash Shirodkar has good hold on this constituency with at least more than fifty percent panch members supporters. His joining the BJP is a setback for the  Congress Party and they will have to rebuild the party with loyal Congress Party supporters.
