It is reliably learnt that the members of the association will assemble in front of St Alex Church, Calangute and then proceed towards Panjim. The members will sit-in at the Azad Maidan to protest the delay in granting permits for their rent-a-cab services. The members of the association are working overtime to win support for the strike. A successful strike will have its bearing on the decision of the government of Goa.

The members of the NGRCA have been visiting the residences of the MLAs seeking their support and to exert pressure on the Goa government to grant permits.

According to members of the association, many MLAs have extended their support for their cause. Two ministers in the Goa BJP government have allegedly come together over the issue to counter the popularity of the MLA of Calangute Michael Lobo, who has been backing the NGTTOA. Former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes is also learnt to be supporting the cause of North Goa Rent-a-Cab Association members.
