MARGAO: Tribal Welfare Minister Govind Gaude has vowed to solve the issue of political reservation for Scheduled Tribes. 

"I have slogged for the issue and I am trying 100 per cent to solve the issue," he said while speaking at one-day workshop organised by the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

South Goa MP Narendra Sawaiker, Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Prashant Naik, Prakash Shankar Velip, Venancio Furtado Director, Tribal Welfare, Ajit Panchwadkar and others were present at the occasion. 

The topic of SC/ST reservation begun after the Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan and Executive Member of Goa Forward Prashant Naik said that Goa Forward will be fully supporting the Political reservation for ST's/SC's. 

Addressing the members of panchayats and municipal councils of Goa belonging to the SC ST Community, the Tribal Welfare Minister said there are attempts being made to take the SC/ST Commission to the grass root level. "The PM and the State government have devised a plan to make sure not even one person of the marginalised community is denied education due to monetary problems," Gaude said.
