Sahasrachandi Anusthan at Mahalaxmi Temple
PANJIM: Shrimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Shripad Vader Swamiji, along with Shrimad Vidyadheesha Tirth Swamiji of Shree Saunsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt received a devotional welcome at the Shree Mahalaxmi Temple in Panjim.

PANJIM: Shrimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Shripad Vader Swamiji, along with Shrimad Vidyadheesha Tirth Swamiji of Shree Saunsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt received a devotional welcome at the Shree Mahalaxmi Temple in Panjim.
His Holiness is in the city for the week-long ‘Sahasrachandi Anusthan,’ which will be performed until Sunday, December 10, at the Shree Mahalaxmi Temple. The celebrations are a part of the second centenary celebrations of the Shree Mahalaxmi Temple of Panjim.
Providing details about the history of the famous temple, Damodar Ghanekar informed that the year-long celebrations, which began in July, this year will continue as the historical temple completes two centuries of its establishment.
“It was a six inch statue when it travelled to Panjim. Here it was first kept at the house of the Ghanekars. The place where it was kept is known as ‘Somarchi Kudd’. Then the people of Panjim came together and Sinari provided the space to establish the temple”, he stated.
