VALPOI: The Sattari taluka truck owners have called for a general body meeting of North and South Goa Truck Owners Associations to explain to the members what transpired at the meeting they had with the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on fixing ore transportation rates. The Sattari truck owners alleged that the meeting with the chief minister was not attended by all associations of truck owners, but only by some truck owners supporting the mining belt MLAs. “We don’t what was discussed at the meeting between the truck owners and the chief minister and we also don’t know what rate was fixed. So, we are requesting the North and South Goa Truck Owners Associations to hold an annual general meeting and explain us what had transpired at that meeting,” said Magaldas Naik, a truck owner.
