VASCO: A senior citizen from Sada immolated himself outside his residence on Monday. 

Jose Caitano Agnelo Fernandes (60) immolated himself on Monday afternoon by using kerosene as fuel. Jose was a retired serviceman who worked abroad. He had come back six months ago and was staying in his relative’s house. 

On Monday afternoon he stepped out of his house, poured kerosene and immolated himself. Onlookers tried to douse the fire and save him but he succumbed to the burn injuries. 

Sources informed that Jose had health issues. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Mormugao Police Station.
