Several events to mark Dr Sanvlo Quenim centenary
PANJIM: As part of the centenary celebrations of Late Dr Sanvlo Quenim to be held on October 23, a centenary celebration committee has been formed comprising several cultural and educational organisations from across the State.
PANJIM: As part of the centenary celebrations of Late Dr Sanvlo Quenim to be held on October 23, a centenary celebration committee has been formed comprising several cultural and educational organisations from across the State.
Also, a documentary on Quenim will be released on October 23 at 6 pm at Kala Academy. The function will have Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu, AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik, and Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado attending.
Quenim was an eminent doctor, theatre artist, philanthropist, social worker and a great human being. He performed in several plays and was a popular and much appreciated artiste.
There are also several programs being organised by the Centenary committee. Samrat Club International, Panjim will conduct a one act play competition which will be held on October 21 and 22 between 4pm and 8 pm at Kala Academy.
