PANJIM: The Chief Minister while replying to media querries on GST during the inauguration of MODI Fest Exhibition to spell out the achievement of three years of Modi government, at Kala Academy on Monday said, "It’s a programme of taking various achievements of the government to the common people, informing them what has been done,” he said.
Linking this initiative to Goa’s education sector, Parrikar, who also holds Education portfolio, said he was surprised to know that students are unaware of various schemes. “The information is lacking. To my surprise, for example, in the education sector itself when Goa government has given so many facilities like interest free loan, scholarships, bursary scheme, etc; most students who pass out do not know anything about the schemes,” he said adding, “These are available on the website. So, it is not only about doing but also creating awareness so that students avail the opportunity.”
