BICHOLIM: Thousands of devotees have arrived at Shirgao in Bicholim to worship goddess Lairai.

Elaborate arrangements have been made by Shri Goddess Lairai Devasthan Samiti of Shirgao to hold the 5-day long festivities.

On Sunday midnight, the dhonds will go for final dip in Dhondachi tali, after which they will walk over embers, which is the main attraction of the zatra.

This will be followed by Kalsotsav festival that will continue till Thursday. 

A strong police force has been deployed at the venue of Zatra and at the borders of Shirgao to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
