Truck driver arrested for causing death of pillion
PANJIM: A truck driver was arrested for rash driving that led to an accident with a two-wheeler, killing an elderly pillion rider and injuring the female rider near KTC bus stand at Panjim. The accident occurred at around 10am on Sunday.

The town police inspector Siddhant Shirodkar informed that 70-year-old pillion rider Tulsi Kurtikar, a resident of Ribandar succumbed to her injuries while the rider Deepa Gawas from Bambolim sustained simple injuries.
The accused Ramesh Naik, a resident of Navelim was arrested for rash and negligent driving.
He is charged under Sections 279, 336 and 304-A of Indian Penal Code.
