PANJIM: In view of counting of votes scheduled on March 11, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has rescheduled the exam dates of two papers.

The revised time-table confirms that Marathi Language (II) which was scheduled on March 11 will now be held on March 22, while Political Science will be held on March 14. The revised data sheet, along with time-table of other streams, has been uploaded on the Goa Board website.

In another circular, the Board has asked heads of all institutions to ensure that deputy conductors and chief moderators carry out duty as invigilators during the examination. The instructions comes following complaints from certain institutions that staff does not cooperate citing seniority.

“It is essential that all teachers should work in any capacity during the Board Examination as there is no seniority maintained. It has been observed that Dy Conductors/Chief Moderators etc refuse to work as invigilators during examinations as well as during assessment and hence it is the duty of the Heads of the Institutions to instruct their staff accordingly to cooperate. Besides Secondary School teachers cannot supervise for Higher Secondary and vice versa,” states the order signed by GBSHSE Secretary Shivkumar Jangam.

Goa Board has meanwhile kept the examination date unchanged for Class X - that begins on April 1 while other papers of Class XII will be held as per schedule.
