MARGAO: Maina Curtorim police on Monday booked two persons namely Pousilipio Dourado and Ashok Naik both residents of Beloy-Nuvem for allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old Pritam Singh from the same area. 

Singh in his complaint stated that when he was going to a shop to purchase flour an oncoming vehicle forced him to move off the road near Pousilipio’s house and in the bargain his elbow touched Pousilipio for which he apologised.

However, notwithstanding the apology Pousilipio and Ashok assaulted him and his friend Shubam Sarkar with fist blows and a bamboo stick due to which they sustained injuries. Police have booked a case under Section 342 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
