PONDA: Two bovines and a canine died of electrocution after they came in contact with live electric wires that had fallen in a field at Magilwada in Priol, on Friday.

According to reports, the bovines were milk giving cows whose deaths caused a loss of Rs 1.2 lakh to their owner. The death of the cows alerted their owners of the danger lurking in the field and they avoided entering the field.

According to information, Raguveer Gaude, after milking his two cows, sent them into the field for grazing where a cow came in contact with the fallen live wire and collapsed with a loud moo. Hearing the loud noise, the other cow rushed towards the former, but she also was electrocuted.
