Two shops raided in Margao
MARGAO: Legal Metrology’s Divisional Officer Arun Panchwadkar on Wednesday raided two shops situated near former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat’s house and seized spurious Christmas décor worth around Rs 3 lakh that was being sold by them at exorbitant rates.
MARGAO: Legal Metrology’s Divisional Officer Arun Panchwadkar on Wednesday raided two shops situated near former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat’s house and seized spurious Christmas décor worth around Rs 3 lakh that was being sold by them at exorbitant rates.
The raided shops are Sai Electricals and Navratna Electricals. Candles, twinkling lights and other decorative items were found without the Maximum Retail Price printed on the packaging nor did they have documents for the same.
It is learnt that decorative lights that actually cost around Rs 60 were being sold by them for Rs 600.
