Goafest set for more footfalls

Goa has attracted people from all walks of life. The latest trend emerging is in the field of knowledge sharing. Various events are held in the State which engages iconic stars in their respective fields to speak on their favourite subject and interact with the audience. VIKANT SAHAY reports on how Goafest 2018 is gearing up for its thirteenth edition which will be held from April 5-7

Gradually Goa is moving towards becoming a knowledge sharing platform where several events are held to churn the minds of not only Goans but intellectuals travelling to the State. In league with one such event, the curtains will soon be raised for Goafest 2018. This will be their thirteenth edition.
It will be one of the biggest advertising festivals hosted by The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) in association with the Advertising Club. The three-day fiesta, Goafest 2018 will be held from April 5-7.
Apart from speakers, the event will also see Abby award ceremony. The awards will be given to those who have excelled in their field of the advertising world.  
Goafest grew bigger in past twelve years. The knowledge sessions got longer with noted speakers who have been iconic achievers in their own particular field, be it sports, business or even acumen for inspiring people through their clarity in thoughts have all shared the stage with media persons and answering questions from an open forum.
This time well-known speakers who will feature during this three-day event are, Baba Ramdev, Rana Kapoor of Yes Bank, cricketer Jonty Rhodes, Bollywood actor Sidhartha Malhotra, Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza etc. This knowledge seminar receives the biggest footfalls and interest, as majority of the people show keen interest in interacting with these iconic achievers. 
In the previous episode Goa had witnessed Deshamanya Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Ports and Shipping and former Sri Lankan Cricket Captain, whose session was moderated by senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai. It was followed by interesting sessions by Benny Thomas, Strategy Head, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and Prakash Sangam, CEO, RedBus.
This year the Goafest is also going to host a media masterclass and it has drawn attention of many media persons in Goa. Yonathan Dominitz, Founder of Mindscapes, a trainer and a leader of creativity enhancement projects in the fields of advertising, innovation, digital, media and marketing will host a special ‘Media Masterclass’ for the delegates.
Mr Dominitz has personally conducted projects in numerous companies and leading global advertising agencies across the US, North America, Europe, China, Japan and Asia Pacific. A former director of Advertising and Creative Marketing Training in SIT- Systematic Inventive Thinking, Yonathan has vast experience working in senior positions in the advertising industry. He also practices and teaches insight meditation courses, workshops and retreats.
In an another workshop on creating mobile-ready video for Facebook and Instagram, João Carlos Pastore of Blueprint Regional Partner Training Lead will address the delegates to keep them updated with the latest on social media.
