The Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Family of
Nazareth, Sancoale, filled with sentiments of deep gratitude to God marked the
125th birth anniversary of the Quasquicentennarian, Founder Fr. Faustino De
Souza, recently at Sancoale in a simple yet unique manner. To make this day
special, at the onset the garlanding of the bust of Fr. Faustino was done at
the headquarters, followed by the blessing of Fr. Faustino Charitable Clinic
and Physio Therapy Centre and also the blessing and opening of the New Road
that goes to the hill of St. Joseph Vaz High School, by His Excellency,
Emeritus Most Revered Dr. Aloysius Paul De Souza of Mangalore. The highlight of
the day was the thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration, ‘Orponn Bhavartachem, Git
Bhorvanxeachem’ celebrated by His Excellency, Emeritus Most Revered Dr.
Aloysius Paul De Souza of Mangalore. After the Eucharist, an operetta ‘Zollti
Jinn’ on the life of Founder Fr. Faustino De Souza was staged by the Sisters.
The event was witnessed by Priests, Religious, the family members of Founder
Fr. Faustino De Souza, Teachers, Benefactors, Well-wishers and the people
wherever the sisters are spread out in service in Goa and the neighbouring
States. Everything ended with the delicious meal.
