๐‹etโ€™s give Goa back to Goa!

In the last number of decades we have been under Governments formed by National parties in the ruling seats. And we have seen how weโ€™ve been vandalised. Be it by the Congress or by the BJP.
Regional parties won just handful of seats here and there and had to amalgamate with these National parties either to be a small part of the ruling government, or had to be content being in the opposition.
However, zealous and passionate these regional party candidates may or may not have been, they had to go along with the ruling party politics and protocol. And these ruling parties have always been remote-controlled by the bigwigs seated in Delhi.
So indirectly these regional MLAs and ministers, in spite of being regional Goans, had to bow to the politics of the Centre. And in their aspirations of political growth they have often fallen prey to the luring of these Delhi puppeteers which led to their focus to stray away from what Goa really needs. It is clear how we have suffered.
In the recent days a segment of people seem to be saying that AAP should be given a chance. Let me say here that I have my reservations about AAP, and have been regularly expressing my concerns with the party. While I have aversions regarding the high-handedness of the AAP workers, my main concern is that again this is a party which has it command-centre in Delhi.
Do we really want that again? Do we again want to give our Goa into the hands of a party that will be controlled from Delhi? Havenโ€™t we had enough of being mere puppets? We are the smallest state in the country; canโ€™t we take care of ourselves?
However, good-intentioned the AAP is, and however, magical their performance in Delhi has been, I donโ€™t think the Delhi command-control will work here anymore.
And letโ€™s look at it logically: AAP has done well in Delhi simply because they are based out of Delhi. They belong there! Letโ€™s keep them there!
What needs to be considered in Goa though, is the fact that even with a Regional ruling party we would still require to maintain ties with the Centre; but then that would only be from the inevitable Administrative POV, not for day-to-day political decisions.
We keep talking about bringing a huge change in the governance in Goa. So why donโ€™t we go all for it? Why donโ€™t we give the entire system an overhaul! We need to focus on giving Goa a Regional party with a ruling majority. No coalition with a Delhi-governed party!
Another major advantage here would be that of accountability. Blame-shifting would be as good as non-existence. If there is an instance of foul play we wonโ€™t need to look towards the North Pole for action. We can kick ass here itself!
If you ask me at this stage which regional party I would go with, I would not be too quick to answer that question. We need to ponder very seriously on which party would work best here.
We need to answer questions such as: โ€™, or โ€˜๐ท๐‘œ ๐‘ค๐‘’ ๐‘๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘‘๐‘’๐‘Ÿ ๐‘Ž ๐‘›๐‘’๐‘ค ๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘”๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘ก๐‘ฆ?โ€™
Difficult questions. But answers will come!
Whatever the answer to those questions may be, in my view, we need to give those minimum 21 seats to a Regional Goan party with the command centre in Goa! Let us give the majority ruling mandate to a Regional Goan party!
We can make this happen. Think about it! This could be our chance to change the way Goa has been governed all these years. A complete change-over!
