Silk and cotton sale ongoing in city
PANJIM: Sarthak Silk Handloom Welfare Society (SSHWS), New Delhi is organizing silk and cotton show cum sale at Keni Hotel, Panjim from June 12 to 24 from 10 am to 8.30 pm. 20 craft person from 11 states are participating. The products on display are Bombay chikan material, Bhagalpur material and sarees, Lucknow chikan tops and sarees, Banarasi silk sarees and suits, Jaipuri tops, kurti, ghadwal cotton sarees, Pashmina silk sarees, Manipuri silk sarees, Mangalgiri suits and material, Punjabi lawn cotton suit, khadi kurta, Jaipur stone jewellery, Hyderabad pearls and many more. A 20 per cent discount is offered on handlooms and 10 per cent on handicrafts.
AP native found dead at Anjuna
CALANGUTE: A native of Secunderabad was found dead along the road at Anjuna Beach on Thursday. According to Anjuna Police, the body of Shiv Shankar Romaya was sent to GMC morgue Bambolim and PSI V Piligaonkar is investigating the case.
