Dr. Subramanian Swamy, BJP leader is very forthright. In Goa, he opined the mining leases must be auctioned. Indeed, why must the leases be ‘gifted’ to a few? They have not done significant exploration to ‘find’ the ore deposits.
Dr. Swamy unequivocally stated on National TV Channels that PM Modi is committed to Hindutva. He further says that the BJP came to power on the same mandate and they will carry forward the same. Further, he says Goa does not deserve Special Status as there is nothing unique about Goans. Madam Saldhana, this is a whammer: are you listening? It is not because it is ‘difficult’ as you said. Obviously, the exceptional communal harmony in Goa trumping anywhere else in India is not unique. This is true, when your agenda is to not have any other religion around. The Catholic BJP MLAs have nowhere to hide: their only option is to resign. If they do not, with the way things are going, they will go down in history as the Catholic turncoats of Goa – a very despicable sobriquet to ‘earn’.
