This refers to Herald dated 24 Nov., ‘French city bans street advertising’. We are half way through the campaign of our Hon’ble Prime Minister towards ‘Swach Bharat Mission’ on 2 October 2014 to keep our country neat and clean. Next we can go for ‘Green Bharat’ by banning commercial street advertisement to make way for trees, like the French City. In place of hoardings, trees can be planted, to keep the environment cool. Some hoardings by the roadside are real distraction for the road users. It is better to have soothing greenery for the eyes than the bright and big hoardings.
