Net neutrality campaigners received a shot in the arm after e-commerce major, Flipkart, walked out of a deal with Airtel Zero. With Snapdeal also unable to join Airtel, the internet community’s growing outrage against sabotaging equal internet access is for all to see. That and the feelers sent out by the government in favour of net neutrality possibly influenced the move. However, with many other online players not keen to walk away from deals with Airtel Zero, the concept of net neutrality could yet be defeated.
