However there is one service which is very essential to the consumers, that is payments of utility bills such as electricity and water. Presently one has to wait in long queues in the branches of designated banks or department’s office windows, where payments are received. This is both time consuming and often irritating as it is not a pleasant experience since the environment around is not conducive and very often the staff on duty is unfriendly. Hence to give some relief to consumers, it is time that the government started the system of online payment of all kinds of utility bills specially electricity, water and house taxes. Let us hope that our tech-savvy Chief Minister will apply his mind to this important issue and begin the facility of online payment at the earliest.
