Wearing helmets won’t save us anymore. I am referring to the accident that took place in Mapuca where the road roller came tumbling down and killed a poor woman. The brakes failed. Are the police, RTO really very serious ? Was this roller inspected this year and did the RTO check the hand brakes and the other brakes ? If so how did the brakes fail? Normally when a truck, bus, and other heavy machineries are serviced every six months there cannot be any failure. Some years back a bus rammed into a shop at that same very sport killing a lady. Some years back the wheels of a truck came rolling down from the municipality building till Maruti Temple knocking one person’s brains out from his skull. Years back a truck came down the slope of Datta wadi and rammed into a shop behind Bank of India. So it is not helmet that can save our lives but honest RTO officers, honest policemen.
