Spotlight on errors

After series of U-turns, bans, denials and irrational statements, the spotlight is now on errors, several types of errors.  The issue of the educational qualifications of Union HRD Minister, Smriti Irani, is being explained away as a “typographical error”.
The dropping of Oct. 2, Gandhi Jayanti from the list of public holidays has been attributed to “clerical error”.  The matter of educational qualification of Goa PWD minister.  Sudin Dhavlikar, is sought to be explained as “human error”.  The several U-turns, bans, denials and so-called errors are making the people wonder whether bringing the BJP to power was worthwhile.
Interestingly, the PWD Minister, Sudin Dhavlikar, has publicly admitted that the Maharastrawadi Gomantak Party made mistakes during the 1967 Opinion Poll on merging Goa into Maharashtra.  Yet his party has not changed its name.
Dhavlikar went on to praise Konkani, adding that Konkani is a great language and has appealed to all Goans to love their language just as Tamils love their own language.  Really?  Only a few months ago, in Nov. 2014 to be precise, 8 out of 10 Goa MLAs, led by both the Dhavlikar brothers, took oath of office as ministers in Marathi.  Was this also an error?
