Goa is a tiny state on the map of India but we have many colorful characters both inside and outside the political landscape of Goa and Mickky Pacheco is one such character who just refuses to keep himself out of the news headlines.
From slapping bus drivers to Govt. Engineers to casino staff to the famous Nadia Torrado case he has done it all. But the long arm of the law has finally caught up with Mickky and after using up all his resources to evade arrest he is finally behind bars.
But our crafty politicians can make headlines even from inside the jail and there are many who keep track of these antics and try to rectify their transgressions. The latest antic in the long list of tales is asking for pardon from the Governor. From what we have seen at the center where the central Govt. is supporting those that assisted a fugitive to escape the country, now we see the same act being played in our State where our state Govt. is assisting a politician convicted of assaulting a Govt. servant. The question here is whether the Govt. of the day would assist the common man in a similar case?
