The Vyapam scam is one of the biggest scams unearthed in independent India. So many deaths, under mysterious circumstances, have sent shivers down the spine. This shows how much rot has set in the system. The depravity of the authorities and the nexus with unscrupulous elements has taken the nation for a ride. Neither the Madhya Pradesh government nor the BJP leadership can shirk it’s responsibility with the argument that the deaths have no link with the Vyapam scam.
It is poignant as well as ironical that Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Chouhan , who is touted as ‘Mr Clean’, is found to be lording over a stinking heap. The brains behind this scam have taken advantage of our country’s slow legal system.
In most cases, evidence is destroyed before it reaches the court of law, as there is ample time to tamper with the evidence provided by the investigating agencies using political clout.
The Vyapam scam is somewhat similar to the Bhopal gas tragedy in the mid-1980’s. All political parties may be equally involved in Vyapam scam which will be known once the investigation unfolds. Education has become a business for politicians all over the country, which is really sad. I hope the Vyapam scam will be taken very seriously by Modi and the Supreme Court for the betterment of the society and education.
