Who wouldn’t like to be an MP?

It’s becoming amply clear now that even though ‘Acche Din’ have been eluding the aam aadmi, nevertheless their proud representatives whom they had elected with high hopes and expectations of providing better living conditions and improved public amenities, have been informed of the recommendation, that the their fortunes are going to rise further with increased salaries, higher pensions and more daily allowances. No wonder that politicians leave no stone unturned to win elections, even if they have to use unfair means at their disposal including lies and false promises.
Now should the common men rejoice for the status symbol of their MPs or simply throw their hands in the air in total resignation at the shameless and irresponsible action on the part of the elected netas opting to live like princes at the cost of tax payers?
It is evident that our elected MPs and MLAs are always united when their own personal interests are involved but ever divided when citizens’ welfare is concerned.
