Eulogies and tributes are insufficient for the former President APJ Abdul Kalam on his death. He has left behind a treasure of goodness worth inculcating by every citizen of this country. His simplicity and humility have won him appreciation from the people who rightly termed him “People’s President”.
Kalam was fond of children. He always wanted to be around them. Wherever he went, he would meet the school children, interact with them, give them inspirational talks and answer their queries imparting valuable information.
President Kalam’s qualities are innumerable to be enumerated here in this little space. But one worth mentioning is after the end of his tenure, he opted to live in a one room flat in Delhi without even a TV but only radio to keep him abreast with the latest happenings in the country and to listen to his favorite Carnatic music.
. Let us cherish his memory not merely in words but more in action.
