Indeed it’s high time for Congressmen to bury all their differences if at all they want to win the hearts and votes in the coming Assembly election, 2017, thereby uprooting the mighty dictatorial lotus government who has made ‘Aam Admi’ a ‘Jaam Admi’ with hefty taxes ‘faltu’ schemes enjoyed mostly by undeserving women.
I always say that Congress is the best option / party with broad mind ideologies who can feel the pulse of a poor man, but the image of this party has been tarnished just because of few greedy, selfish and non-reliable MLAs / ministers. By now the base of Congress should be strong to give a tough fight unitedly, rather than demanding for a change in leadership every now and then, thereby making the party weaker. Let there by discipline and principles and if at all John Fernandes was strict it was a need of an hour.
Now Luizinho Faleiro is establishing the base and striving to bring back the lost glory from the dusk, hence fighting for a change in leadership again will expose the infight to the people thus losing the hope and trust in the Congress Party. Don’t ever take the people for a ride or else face the 2012 music again in 2017. If Antanasio Monserate (Babush) is expelled from the party fold for his anti-party activities, I feel the same dose should have been injected to Francisco Sardinha as he too is the culprit for the downfall of Reginaldo Lourenco at the Lok Sabha election where is publicly commented saying “It’s time for people to slap Congress …..” and worked against the party just because of not getting the ticket. And now he should feel ashamed to share the dais at different Congress occasions.
Mauvin Godinho too needs to be rusticated as he is enjoying his honeymoon with BJP secretly. Churchill Alemao also deserted Congress for his personal gain and now he is attempting to jump back, but the Congress high command should be wise enough to keep these non-reliable elements at bay. The consequences of voting Independents is experienced by Niz Goenkars in Salcete, where some Catholic altar boys are serving the BJP’s altar run by the RSS and VHP. My humble warning to Congressmen is, please don’t play with the sentiments of the people who trusted you, be faithful to your party and united in good and bad times, rather than losing moral and trust by changing the parties oftenly.
