Don’t sell my Goa for ‘kolso’

The world is the beautiful creation of the Creator but sadly many of us fail to understand the simple meaning of beauty and are busy building our own artificial world for the benefit of the so-called big people by destroying the real, natural world. Mankind has totally forgotten about the other existing species in this world, which also hold equal rights as us and we have failed to understand the simple reality that the world is not just about human convenience. It is hard to digest that even at this time of crisis our people in power planned and sanctioned destructive projects in the name of development against nature when we all know that tomorrow is uncertain.

Goa is a beautiful place full of beautiful people and the beauty is such that there exist no words in the dictionary to describe it. Sadly Goa always elected ugly representatives since liberation and we as voters always turned out to be shameless in spite of knowing that since liberation attempts were made to sell Goa. There were attempts to merge Goa with Maharashtra, other CMs commenced the sale of Goa’s land, the politicians who came later followed the footsteps of their sincere leader and now the politicians in power together with smuggled Congress MLAs are all out to sell Goa for ‘kolso’ (coal) and that too by destroying our own ancestral houses and the little that remains of the natural beauty including a wild life sanctuary.

God bless all those who are fighting a real battle against the government of corporates for the independence of Goa from coal. No doubt, the enemy is powerful. The Police are their remote controlled dolls, they have got all those paper exercise clearances, they have their own laws and if necessary they are even capable of using all their might against ‘niz Goenkars’ to make the way clear for ‘kolso’. Let us unitedly fight this battle at least for the sake of our children and the generations who are yet to see the light of Goa if not for our own selves. Our political class proved that there is no Goan blood flowing in their veins and that they are just agents of the Centre.

We did not learn anything from the tsunami, recently witnessed Cyclone ‘Kyaar’ and all those manmade natural disasters. Now COVID-19 has proved where exactly human power stands and we still care not for nature. Now our face is permanently covered by a mask and nature wants to speak to all of us. If we don’t listen to her now then we all know the answer.

Last but not the least, Goa belongs to us Goans and we need to stand for our ‘Mai Goa’. We cannot win this war by fighting on social media. This battle needs to be fought on the battlefield. Our enemy is our own but sadly the enemy is for ‘kolso’. United, we Goans are a mighty force; the blessings of ‘Goencho Saib’ and ‘Lord Damodar’ are over us. We cannot win this battle unless we fight. So let us unitedly fight and save our Goa against ‘kolso’.
