Why do people elect their representatives? To do whose will? The common men who actually are the voters or the politicians? What is the responsibility of our elected representatives, should they follow their party ideology or should they work for the development of the nation along with all the people of the nation?”
The following questions need to be answered keeping in mind the political scenario in India.
What has happened in Bihar is a very good lesson which our leaders have to learn. It is the right time for them to wakeup. The people of Bihar have given a clear message, “What is more important is humanity, not just one religion. India is a land of many religions, many languages, we should be proud of it. We need to respect each and every religion equally. Those who try to change this will destroy themselves. Do not follow the policy of divide and rule, do not decide what we should wear, what language we should speak, what meat we should eat, and which religion we should follow. We are living in a democracy and we will decide that, not any political parties”.
It’s time the leaders should realize that we need peace in the nation. We wish to live in harmony. We wish to live as brothers and sisters of one nation. And whoever tries to separate us, whoever tries to divide us, in the name of caste or religion will not be tolerated. For so many years we have lived in peace, then in these 18 months what has changed? How was the environment in the nation before 2014, and how is the environment now in these 18 months? Each one of us need to introspect as the citizens of this great nation.
We the people of this nation are the decision makers, nobody can dictate terms to us. Before even trying to do so our politicians should not forget what has happened in Bihar. Do not try to suppress the people, do not try to exploit them, do not be corrupt, because when time comes they will show you the way.
