Why harass beef Traders in Goa

Beef traders in Goa have reportedly called off their four-day old indefinite strike recently following assurance by the BJP-led coalition government that the meat would be imported from Karnataka under police protection. The communal elements running the ‘Govansh Raksha Manch’ on the other hand have threatened that they will continue their protest against the transportation of beef from illegal slaughter houses from neighbouring Karnataka. They have also demanded a ban on cow slaughter in Goa on the lines of Maharashtra.
The one thing I still don’t understand is that if these self-styled ‘cow-protectors’ have so much of concerns for the health of minorities or with the quality of beef (as being claimed through the local media) then instead of harassing only the beef traders, why don’t they also harass all the chicken/mutton/fish traders in Goa on similar lines?
We Goan minorities have been consuming beef for donkey years or centuries like free-born citizens of this country and some of our favourite beef  items which are still enjoyed till date for weddings/parties etc are beef-roast, beef-tongue, beef-biryani, beef-patties, beef-croquette, beef-chilly fry etc.  Now, why do these handfuls of sick individuals  try to take on our eating habits giving their own stupid justifications/silly excuses playing cow politics and why this sudden noise against the supply of beef from illegal slaughter houses in Goa?
If the current ruling BJP government is really not communal and does believe in giving equal rights for everyone based on common sense then it should henceforth take strict action against all those who are still threatening to take the law in their hands just to harass the minorities in Goa to simply impose their own personal religious beliefs over others.
An elected government should learn to protect the fundamental right of every Indian citizen which is guaranteed in the Constitution and also stop pampering known communal elements around in the near future as their only agenda is to fight to suppress the fundamental rights of minorities and to fight for religious supremacy in Goa/India by forcibly imposing their own personal sick agendas over others mixing religion.
