Voting Days Are Coming Closer

Voting days are coming closer and closer and voters have to get ready to cast their sacred vote and dutifully complete their constitutional responsibility.
Soon, politicians will come begging at our door, asking us, to allow them to serve us as our servant and develop our country to the best of their ability. As they will be the same old servants; the wise will know their ‘best’ and know their ‘ability ‘while making their choice; but majority of the voters will not know which rotten apple to pick; thus making confusion most confounded. Words of some important VIPs will satisfy fools with new gifts of goodies from them. Some will stupidly sell their vote for a price to crook candidates; and a few will vote for symbols, knowing nothing about the contestants. Thus, many politicians will win on slum vote. Many say, when such situations happens, then the government that will come to power, will be bereft of inspiration; unsettled in mind and will plod along without any control of vision for the future generation.
The great eligible voter-criminal will be the one who will remain mute at election time by calling himself or herself “not interested or not active in politics”. No citizen can be apolitical, not even a pandit, maulve, priest or a nun of any religion. The religious, as custodians of morality, should be more anxious to see that their flock chooses the right candidates to protect God’s Gifts on this Good Earth. They should remain alive fighting passionately for the environment, which is a divine duty according to all religious faiths. Is any religion and morality to be confined only to temples, churches, mosques, etc and not to be carried forward in the worldly sphere to eliminate devils, who, reign and change this world to the worst sort of situations?
It is said, neither love nor hate a politician; for those in power do the looting which leads to the creation of poverty and promotion of all sorts of crimes like robbery, prostitution murders, drug trafficking, destruction of the land, water and air etc.: and those useless opposition do the scooting as they do not have the courage of their conviction to use their vocal chords to enlighten the masses; so, they dream and scheme of how to win the next election. But one should not hate the politicians because justice belongs to God.
Let us, the voters, vote for agriculture, against selling agricultural land to the builders lobby to cause destruction to Goan ecology; let us choose politicians who are against the idea of constructing concrete jungles in paddy fields. The military service consist of  soldiers who guard the country’s borders and even lay down their lives so that others in the nation might live in safety; like them, let us vote for the future of our children where our children and our children’s children feel safe, to live and move about without fear and favour.
