In a remarkable display of bravery, Army dog Tyson led troops to a terrorist hideout in Chhatroo, Kishtwar, enabling security forces to neutralise three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. The elite German Shepherd of 2 Para (Special Forces) crawled into the hideout, drawing fire despite being shot in the leg. The operation involved state police, CRPF, and special forces. Among the slain was Saifullah, a JeM terrorist evading capture for two years. Authorities recovered two AK-47 rifles and ammunition. Tyson was airlifted for treatment and is stable. Residents expressed relief at the terrorists’ elimination.
