Kerala Govt Orders Probe Into Death of Man After Alleged Denial of Hospital Treatment

Kerala Health Minister Veena George has ordered an enquiry into the death of a man allegedly denied treatment at a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Thiruvananthapuram. The minister directed the Health Department Director to investigate the incident and submit a detailed report. The deceased, identified as Bismeer, was brought to the CHC by his wife, Jasmine, who alleged that he was not provided any medical care despite being in visible distress. CCTV footage shows Bismeer crying for help while the hospital gate remained closed for nearly two to three minutes. Jasmine further claimed that her husband was referred to a medical college hospital without receiving even basic emergency care, including CPR. The incident has sparked public concern, with officials examining possible lapses in duty.
