As of early May 2026, mango prices in Goa have started easing after an unusually expensive early season, as fresh arrivals in the market improve supply. While premium varieties still command high rates, the overall trend shows a steady decline from the peak prices seen in February and March.
The popular Goan Mankurad mango, considered the state’s favourite, is now selling between ₹1,500 and ₹3,000 per dozen at retail markets. Earlier in the season, prices had reportedly touched as high as ₹5,000–₹7,000 per dozen due to limited availability. Despite the fall, select large and high-quality fruits continue to fetch premium rates.

Goa’s prized Alphonso (Hapus) variety is currently priced at around ₹1,000–₹1,200 per dozen, depending on size and quality. Other varieties such as Lalbag are selling for approximately ₹700 per dozen, while Totapuri mangoes remain comparatively affordable at around ₹120 per kg.
Locally grown varieties like Ghotam (also known as Aamlyo) are available at about ₹200 per dozen, making them one of the more budget-friendly options in the market.
In wholesale markets such as Mapusa in North Goa, the average price is hovering around ₹5,500 per quintal, which translates to roughly ₹55 per kg. Traders say this reflects improving supply conditions as the season progresses.
Market observers note that mango prices in Goa are expected to decline further in the coming weeks as peak-season arrivals increase. However, they also point out that rates remain higher than last year due to lower production levels combined with strong local demand.
Prices continue to vary across regions, with Margao and Panaji markets often showing slight differences based on quality, sourcing, and demand patterns. Despite fluctuations, mango season remains one of the most closely watched agricultural markets in the state, especially for premium Goan varieties like Mankurad.
