Nagaland signs MoU with Toyota Kirloskar to boost health and education

Kohima, The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) signed an MoU with Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd on Tuesday to strengthen the state’s health and education sectors.
Under the partnership, health initiatives will prioritise upgrading key facilities, expanding access to services, and improving both rural and urban healthcare systems. Education-related efforts will focus on better infrastructure, digital learning, and skill development to prepare Nagaland’s youth for emerging opportunities.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said healthcare and education remain top priorities for the state, adding that the MoU will help bridge existing gaps, especially in rural areas. He noted that Toyota Kirloskar’s model of experiential learning and holistic development, which he witnessed during a recent visit to the company’s facility, reflects how quality education can shape future-ready students.

Rio assured full state government support for the effective and transparent execution of the initiatives. IDAN Chairman Abu Mehta highlighted that the MoU was completed in a remarkably short time, while Toyota’s Sudeep Dalvi underlined the company’s “Child to Community Development” philosophy, which aligns with the state’s vision for long-term social progress.
