The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Shivshankar Mayekar on October 1, 2025, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with a land scam case involving Yeshwant Sawant and others.
Mayekar was produced before the Special Court (PMLA) in Mapusa on October 2. The court granted ED custody of the accused until October 10, 2025.
