Security forces on Sunday neutralised a third Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, the Indian Army said. Troops of CIF (D) under the White Knight Corps, in coordination with J&K Police and CRPF, carried out the operation as part of ongoing counter-terror efforts. According to the Army, the slain militant has been identified as Saifullah, active in the region for two years and repeatedly evading security forces.
The militants were hiding inside a mud house in Chatroo. Upon establishing a cordon, the terrorists fired, prompting a retaliatory gunfight. Earlier, two militants were neutralised at the same site. The Army recovered the remains and weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, praising the troops’ “tactical precision, seamless synergy and resolute aggression.”
